Sawtell Coaches Review Overview
It has been almost 4 years since the last formal service review conducted by Sawtell Coaches, and during this time, many new residences have been built and we needed to ensure that our service continues to meet the demands of the future. This being said we were pleased with the responses and feedback that was given to us, through our information kiosks at Park Beach Plaza and Toormina Gardens Shopping Centre. The review started on the 2nd August 2011 and closed on the 2nd September 2011.

The following questions were raised by passengers both within the Coffs Harbour area and our own area Sawtell/Toormina.
Why is there no service that covers the Sawtell/Toorman area to the Jetty
Why is there no service that runs from Middle Boambee to Toormina
Both valid queries and our aim is to put in place such a service
Our proposal is to implement the following services,
Coffs Jetty
The review concluded that there is a need for a service from Sawtell / Toormina to Coffs Jetty as a direct service as a opposed to connecting with Busway's and waiting a considerable period or sometime as has been indicated by the review passengers who choose to walk to the Jetty, the residents of not only Sawtell Toormina and Boambee but also Coffs Harbour are frustrated by the inconvenient and lack of service currently being offered. Sawtell Coaches proposes an extension to their existing service to Park Beach Plaza via the Jetty thru 363 for passengers originating south of Sanctuary Resort. And an extension to the existing service 362 from Park Avenue via the Jetty for passengers originating south of the Racecourse.
Middle Boambee
Sawtell Coaches are willing to service the Middle Boambee region, we acknowledge that this is in Busway's region, and recognise that Busway's do not intend to introduce a service to this area. With our draft timetable we can deliver a circular line of Route that would feed to Toormina Centro which would feed into existing service to various points of the Coffs Coast region including to Macksville and to Grafton. Sawtell Coaches is willing to assist the resident within the area and the whole community; we envisage this service to be an operated two times per week day initially to the selected route. This will be a stand alone service.
Boambee Primary
Sawtell Coaches in addition to the above service would envisage being able to operate a direct service for Boambee Primary School for the resident within this area of Middle Boambee and this would be a 7 day service. We recognise that Boambee is just outside the B Contract boundary and acknowledges it is within the Busway's region but given is proximity and the disadvantages for people in the area it is only a small adjustment to have it incorporated into our daily service. This will be an extension of our hybrid service 362,363, and 364.
Balydon Primary School
From the Service Review we were made aware of the new start time for Bayldon Primary school. Having implemented minor changes to selected school run which commenced from the 12th December 201, we are now enabling students attending Bayldon Primary to arrive at school prior to the new start time and to date the amended services have been well received.
We are currently awaiting a reply to our letter which has been sent to Transport for NSW in relation to the above changes – and are hopeful the our new timetable which includes the above new services can be implemented soon.
We welcome any feedback from the general public on any of these improved services.
